Quality Assurance

Quality assurance

Quality assurance has now become a priority in the higher education sector in Algeria. Indeed, the adoption of the Licence–Master–Doctorate (LMD) system has made quality an essential component of the higher education system, with a view to facilitating the comparability of academic degrees and promoting student mobility. It also represents a necessary pathway towards the internationalization of higher education. The National Higher School of Management (ENSM), like higher education institutions across Algeria, has been committed to a quality assurance process since 2017, through self-assessment exercises conducted in accordance with the National Quality Assurance Framework. These exercises involved representatives from all categories of the university community, who demonstrated a strong commitment and willingness to contribute to the process. Furthermore, the Institutional Project, which constitutes the logical follow-up to the self-assessment process, was developed and subsequently updated. It defines the School’s strategy and reaffirms its commitment to quality. During the 2025/2026 academic year, the School embarked on the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This process notably involved context analysis, the development and control of documented information, the monitoring of objectives and risks, as well as the implementation of an internal audit and the follow-up of improvement actions. The project culminated in the achievement of ISO 9001:2015 certification, following the certification audit conducted in July 2026, which was completed without any non-conformities.
