I’m Reffas Asmaa, a former ENSM student from the 2021-2022 promotion, now 25 years old with nearly a year and a half of work experience in different fields.
After graduating, I threw myself into the professional world with no restrictions.
I tried everything that came to mind, took on new experiences, worked in different industries, accepted any salary at first, switched jobs and cities in every chance I got. It wasn’t just about having a job; it was about shaping the professional version of myself after being academically shaped by the “ENSM”.
Looking back at my journey with École Nationale Supérieure de Management (ENSM), I realize how much this school shaped me not just professionally, but as a person.
Before ENSM, I was deeply rooted in a technical world. I studied Urbanism and I was completely attached to the field. It made sense to me. So, when I first arrived at ENSM to study Entrepreneurship and Project Management, I won’t lie I was a little disappointed.
Management felt so different, almost abstract compared to the concrete, structured world I was used to. But as time passed, something shifted. I started making connections between
urban planning and strategic management, between how cities evolve and how businesses grow.
A huge part of that transformation came from the incredible mentors at ENSM.
so many that left an impact that I wish I could name them all.
ENSM wasn’t just a school. It taught us how to think, how to be adaptable, bold, and strategic. It gave us the confidence to take on challenges and, just as importantly, the wisdom to step back when needed. It taught us the power of
saying « yes » to opportunities and the strength to say « no, I deserve better. »
After ENSM, I explored different fields. I tried working in the commercial sector and in pure management roles, but I didn’t quite find myself there. Eventually, I turned to combined roles like Product Management, and it just clicked.
Today, I’m a Product Manager in a delivery and logistics solutions company, working closely with IT and development teams, blending in as best as I can, and constantly striving to be better every day.
So yeah, thank you, ENSM for the mindset, the growth, and the courage to think bigger. I came in as a student and walked out as something more.
My advice for ENSM students
today : Be open. Take everything you can from this school, ENSM gives you the foundation, but it’s up to you to build on it.
