TThe ENSM was created in Algiers by Executive Decree No. 08-116 of April 9th, 2008, in accordance with Executive Decree No. 05-500 of 27th of Dhou El Kaada, 1426 corresponding to December 29th, 2005 setting the missions and the particular rules of organization and operation of non-university schools.
It is the first public national higher school specializing in management. It is the school of dual expertise, by excellence. It allows graduates of higher education (undergraduate / first cycle) to acquire a second expertise in their training course.
As of July 2014, it relocated to the University Pole of Koléa (Tipaza). The school benefits from an excellent infrastructure and all the necessary pedagogical and administrative resources to carry out its training and scientific research missions.
1. Objective & Missions of the ENSM
1.1. Objective:
ENSM is a center of excellence for higher education. It aims to provide highly qualifying training for various activity sectors. The ENSM specializes in the training of high-level management competencies for various economic activity sectors, both industrial and service, by integrating field experience into the training programs (Executive Decree No. 08-116 of April 9th, 2008 establishing the ENSM).
1.2. Missions:
Within the framework of public higher education service, the fundamental missions of the ENSM are: higher education and scientific research, innovation, monitoring, technological development and transfer, in accordance with Executive Decree No. 16-176 of June, 14th, 2016 setting the standard statute of the higher school, particularly in its Articles 20th & 21st. These missions are notably:
For higher education, the school’s missions are to:
- Ensure the training of highly qualified executives;
- Introduce students to research methods and to provide training by and for research;
- Contribute to the production and dissemination of knowledge and expertise, and to their acquisition and development;
- Introduce the dimension of innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship, in both training and research;
- Introduce students to innovation and entrepreneurship;
- Provide professor training for the national education sector;
Furthermore, the ENSM can provide continuing training, skill upgrading, and knowledge renewal courses for executives in socio-economic sectors.
In terms of scientific research and technological development, the school’s fundamental mission within its area(s) of specialization is to:
- Contribute to the national effort in scientific research and technological development.
- Promote the development of sciences and techniques;
- Participate in strengthening the national technical potential;
- Contribute to the development of basic and applied research within public or private national companies by encouraging innovation.
- Contribute to the valorization of scientific research results and the dissemination of scientific and technical information;
- Participate within the international scientific community in the exchange and enrichment of knowledge;
- Promote scientific production and encourage emulation.
2. ENSM’s Infrastructure and Seating Capacity
Ever since the ENSM’s relocation to the University Pole of Koléa (Tipaza) in 2014, the school has been housed in a modern infrastructure capable of accommodating 2000 pedagogical seats, where significant resources have been made available for the school for it to carry out its missions.
3. ENSM’s Organization and OperationThe organization and operation of the ENSM is governed by the inter-ministerial decree of February, 25th, 2018, setting out the administrative organization of the higher school and the nature and organization of the technical services.
