Postgraduate (third-cycle) PhD

The LMD-system PhD is governed by three (03) regulatory texts, depending on the date of the PhD student’s firs-time enrollment. An additional regulatory text applies when the thesis is prepared under co-supervision:

 

1. LMD PhD students regularly enrolled before the publication of Decree No. 547 of June, 2nd, are governed by:

1.1. The provisions of Decree No. 191 of July, 12th, 2012, as amended and supplemented, aforementioned..

1.2. Circular No. 03 of March, 8th, 2018 (+ Annexes).

  1. 1. PhD students regularly enrolled before the publication of Decree No. 961 of December, 2nd, 2020, are governed by:

2.1.  The provisions of Decree No. 547 of June, 2nd, 2016.

2.2. Circular No. 03 of July, 7th, 2019  (+ Annexes).

 

 

  1. PhD students enrolled from as of the 2020-2021 academic year, are governed by:

3.1.  Decree No. 961 of December, 2nd, 2020

 

3.2. Attached to this Decree is:- A PhD Student’s HandBook.

                                  - An updated grading rubric.

 

3.3. Circular No. 03 of July, 7th, 2019  (+ Annexes).

 

 

  1. PhD students enrolled from as of the 2021-2022 academic year, are governed by:

4.1.  Decree No. 28 of January, 9th,  2022

4.2. Attached to this Decree is:  - A PhD Student’s HandBook.

                                     - An updated grading rubric.

4.3. Circular No. 03 of July, 7th, 2019  (+ Annexes).

  1. PhD students enrolled from as of the 2022-2023 academic year, are governed by:

 

 

5.1 Decree No. 991 of August, 1st, 2022

5.2  Decree No. 28 of January, 9th, 2022

3.3. Circular No. 03 of July, 7th, 2019  (+ Annexes).

 

    1. These under co-supervised are governed, in addition to the aforementioned applicable regulatory texts (1, 2, 3,

    4, and 5), by:

Decree No. 704 of June, 16th, 2016  establishing procedures and conditions for organizing international co-supervision of PhD theses.

 

NB :

Decisions regarding the appointment of thesis jury members, as well as defense authorizations, are governed by Decree No. 1001 of June, 27th, 2019.
